LISS Core Study

The LISS Core Study is a longitudinal study carried out each year in the LISS panel. It provides repeated measures of the same set of variables for the same individuals and households. Over time, the Core Study measures change in people’s lives, their reaction to life events and the effects of societal changes and policy measures. A large part of the LISS Core Study is also conducted in the immigrant panel, but is not repeated each year.

The study covers eight questionnaires, each with its own theme.

For topics within each questionnaire see:

You can view the LISS Core Study in the Data Archive. The Core data of the immigrant panel will become available in the course of 2011.
