ODISSEI has announced the results of the ODISSEI LISS panel Grant call 2025. A total of 48 proposals were submitted, of which seven projects have been awarded funding.
The selected researchers will make use of the longitudinal LISS panel data to study how people adapt to a changing society. The funded projects focus on topics such as public preferences regarding wealth taxation and how individuals experience and interpret discrimination.
Data collection in the LISS panel
Researchers from the awarded projects will be able to carry out their data collection free of charge within the LISS panel. Therefore, the grant provides opportunities to deploy custom questionnaires and experiments among a representative panel of Dutch households.
Combining digital trace data and CBS microdata
In this funding round, one project gets the opportunity to combine LISS panel data with digital trace data – data that people generate in their daily lives, for example through payments with (debit or credit) cards in supermarkets or social media interactions.
In addition, one other project has been granted access to CBS microdata, allowing the research to be expanded. After data collection within the LISS panel, these data will be linked to CBS microdata. Both data sources will be analyzed simultaneously, significantly broadening the scope of research and analytical possibilities.
LISS panel Grant 2026
More information about all awarded projects within the LISS panel Grant 2025 can be found on the ODISSEI website. Researchers interested in carrying out their research project in the LISS panel can apply in a new round, in May. The call will be launched by ODISSEI.
